Well...

Just because you submit the reading response before the lesson doesn't mean you are more hardworking than the others. Just because you submit the reading response weeks after the lesson doesn't mean you are lazier than anyone. Where does the unfairness come from?! There are reasons for people to submit their responses late as people have different commitments. As long as everyone has already tried his or her best, that's good enough.

Just can't understand the logic of this "unfairness theory".

I'm so sorry that I started the issue.

But as a teacher, will you accept your students to submit their works to you a few weeks later? If so, how can you evaluate your students' progress? What if they get misunderstandings? How can we help them?

I know we all get a full time job. But, isn't it the basic requirements to respect our studies by getting things done before the deadline?

The original deadline was the last day of class instead of the start of each class.

Right, we all have a full time job and we all have lots of commitments. That's why the deadline set is important. We plan, schedule, and prioritize our work according to the deadline fixed. Anyone who is occupied by various commitments can plan to finish the reading at a later stage, while those who can manage to do the reading before the lesson can do it early. Finishing the reading before the lesson shows the respect one has for the course, but not “more” respect for the course. Doing the reading late doesn’t show less respect either.

As for evaluation, our teacher reads our reading response and if any misunderstanding is found, he will leave comments.

Don't say that you started an issue. We just look at things differently.
